Huge Mirrors made to order!

This is an interesting project we did for a London Hotel.

2.1M high, 1.2M wide Mirrors, in 6mm thick bronzed mirror.  Which is no problem, but our designer wanted each mirror to be divided up into 8 panels. Glass on glass, it was tricky but we solved it with the right adheasives, safety backing and handfull of insider knowledge.

Got a similar idea? lets have a look at it for you….

The Perfect Picture For Every Room

Thats what we do.  Simple. I’ve been having a look at Usp’s and elevated speeches (what you tell someone you do when you’re stuck in a lift with them,  no really, it’s true) and  it’s got me thinking how Marshall Arts are different from our competition.  We ARE world class framers, but it’s what we DO with the ordinary prints that anyone can get hold of.  We turn them into centerpieces,  the finishing touch, that makes the home, the room, or the room set complete.  The perfect picture for every room.  It’s a good start, but I’m sure we can tighten it up when the team play around with it next week.

Home & Gift Show 2009, Harrogate

With 180 new lines freshly designed I am really looking forward to the “show season” it’s always a tiring,  but rewarding time of year, so hope to see you all soon with the new ranges!

New Range Hits The Road

It’s new range time here at Marshall Arts, and we have pushed the boat out and produced over 180 new lines. We are awash with great new artwork and the early signs are good, there’s something for everyone.

The web-gallery will be updated ASAP and of course it is out with our salesforce right now, so if you haven’t already seen it, please get in touch, to book a van call.  Something different, something risky, something safe, it’s all there!

Back to business baby!

The rumours are true, I now have 3 women living with me…..I’m getting no sleep, and yes, it’s fantastic!

The stats: Hayleigh, or “little H” was born on the 11th May at 7lb 02oz,  in York hospital, just.  (Our first daughter Ellie arrived on the bathroom floor,  Lisa is just very good at having babies quickly)  I was ready with the engine running this time, taking no chances. I even had a bag of change for the carpark. They said, “go home it’ll be 24-36 hours……………”  3 hours later, bingo! daughter number 2.

I’ve taken my 2 weeks Paternity,  and can safely say running a business is the easy option!

My fave poster in the delivery room said “You don’t frighten me, I’ve got kids”  Quite!

High Heels and Handbags

As it’s a Friday, we’re thinking “boudoir” is the only way to go. Hot off the press, literally,  are this set of 4, hope you like!

Working in the factory on my b…

Working in the factory on my birthday?!! (holiday cover) and I’m lovin it. You can’t beat the satisfaction of getting a pile of orders out!

Marshall Arts, saying no to customer requests

I hate saying no. Especialy to customers who want to buy from me.   But it’s happened this week, and it’s actually a good thing on reflection.   At this time of year many of our retail customers have clearance sales and it’s a great way for us all to clear old stock, and the buying public to get genuine bargains.

Over the last year we have worked hard to streamline our production and new product design, and have seen the benefits right through our business, until now! We don’t have a pile collecting dust in corner! Saying no can be good!

Spot the difference.   Then (yes ladies that’s Darren)

And Now, (don’t worry Darren is still here)

Fantastic florals! Lily by Sally Scaffardi

Just in, it’s a rough photo but I just had to show these off!  It’s great when a range lands  (especialy from a vast category like “florals”) and we just have to get them designed and out there.  Bold, vibrant, a breath of fresh air.
